A fun afternoon. We decorated this year in red, white and blue since we were right between Memorial Day and the 4th of July. Still had a little bit of purple and gold thrown in for good measure.
Tons of food - again. It was Donna Stricklin's birthday, so we had her cut the cake. She also drew the winning number for the 50/50 since she won last year. Wouldn't you know, she drew her own number! She was holding tickets for herself and Linda Harrison, so the money was actually going to go to Linda.
We saw some people for the first time since the 50th in October 2013. And we're hoping to see a lot more next year. I really enjoy these little mini-reunions. For most of us, the friendships and bonds we formed in high school were the first we had outside of family. As we get older, I think it's important to keep those friendships alive.
So, here are some pictures taken at the picnic! Enjoy!
