I just heard from Denny Johnson. His good friend, and our classmate, Stew Ackerman, called him today to say that his lovely wife, our own Carole Bruner, had passed away this morning.
I remember pretty Carole with her gorgeous red hair sitting at one of the tables on the stage in the cafeteria, busy knitting away on a sweater - probably for Stew. She always had a smile on her face and a friendly word for everyone.
It was so nice to see her at our mini-reunions. She'll be missed.

More Late Pictures
These are pictures that Carole Lehman posted on Facebook. I'm not sure if some of them have already been posted here, but if so, you can look at them again! Here they are, in no particular order.

From the 35th Reunion
Sandy Marchant found this old picture. Donna said it was from the 35th reunion.
Stoney Eggleston, Sandy Granato, and Nick Festa
Stoney, gone too soon. Has anyone seen Nick lately?
Latecomers
Here are some more pictures from the reunion from Sally.
Doris, me and Sandy - we look lopsided!
Bonnie and Tom. He's been to so many reunions with Bonnie, I'm making him an honorary UMHS 63 grad!
Nancy and Sammy and me. Nancy told me that she and Sammy had a "thing" back in elementary school!
Two handsome dudes - Jimmy and Tony
Me and my sweetie!

Love the smirks, Charlie and Denny

Sally snuck into this 4-some, with Donna, Sandy, Tony and Doris
After the reunion, Donna and Sandy traveled down to North Carolina to spend a few days with Sally, and finished their visit with a dinner at Judy's.

Safe flight, Donna - see you next year!
And a safe flight to Sandy too!
And that, boys and girls, ends the 54th reunion of the fantastic UMHS Class of 63. We'll see you all again for our big #55 on October 20, 2018.

54th Reunion - September 9, 2017
Yes, we are still here - and still having fun!
A beautiful fall day, sunny and mild. A great group gathering at the Victorian Village clubhouse for our 4th mini-reunion.
Classmates came from California, South Carolina, North Carolina, Maryland, New Jersey, as well as nearby locales. We stood around, sat around, talked, laughed, ate goodies, had an arts and crafts class led by Denny Johnson, ate hoagies and cake, had a 50/50 raffle, sat around some more, and started working on our 55th reunion for next year.
I think everyone had a good time!
